This is a beautiful handmade Moroccan Berber rug from Taznakht, a small Berber region in Morocco. Made from 100% wool and coloured with vegetable dyes in orange, red, indigo blue, olive green, charcoal black, grey, dark brown and ecru. The patterns are a combination of traditional diamond and zig-zag motifs combined with modern trapezium shapes. The overall look is delightful patchwork effect.

It is woven by skilled artisans using a traditional hand loom, so only has tassels on one side, which is formed from the excess warp threads - there are loops on the other side, where the weaving is started from. Additionally, the rug is completely reversible (it doesn't have a right side and a wrong side).
