Beautiful hand-knotted Azilal rug - cream coloured with a striking design of abstract patterns and traditional Berber symbols and motifs. The pattern of this rug comprises of diamonds in dark blue, orange and green together with branch-like designs, bordered with dark blue zig-zags.The colours are made from natural dyes, such as madder, saffron and henna. This rug is woven by skilled artisans using a traditional hand loom, so only has tassels on one side, which is formed from the excess warp threads - there are loops on the other side, where the weaving is started from.
