The pattern of this rug comprises of interlocking shapes in dark pink, light pink, gold, green, beige, blue and black.The colours are made from natural dyes made from plants and berries, such as saffron, indigo and madder. This rug is woven by skilled artisans using a traditional hand loom, so only has tassels on one side, which is formed from the excess warp threads - there are loops on the other side, where the weaving is started from.
